  • Gertie Gazoo Retires

We were sad recently to receive this notice from much loved Gertie Gazoo. We wish her much happiness in retirement and expect to still see her around IoW:

"I gertie gazoo step away and retire as elder of iow

In my place iow shall be run by the elders of iow and the more the competent staff members

I look to you all to communicate with each other on all channels given.
Conference hall, discord and the new calander

ANYONE is allowed to create and run events

As iow is not one person it is us as a whole

If you as our next generation of staff goes forward with heads held high and with all ideas considered. Iow will continue to be a strong loving community.

Every single person is important. No one person can make this happen alone.

  • Pentadee Joins Isle of Wyrms Games

Our newest addition to the Limbo Gameday area is Pentadee.

Pentadee is a SL version of the classic Yahtzee-style dice game.

The game can be played alone of play for up to 8 players.

Anyone may join a game of Pentadee at any time. The game ends when all currently seated players have filled their score card, and the player with the highest total score wins. Only the score card of the player who's turn it is will be shown during the game. The total score of all players is displayed in front of each player as a reference.

As with the RL game your turn begins by rolling the dice. You may roll up to three times per turn to try for the best combination possible. Once you have a roll that you are satisfied with or you have run out of rolls choose a slot on the score card to record your roll. Simply click on the name of the slot on the card and the game will move to the next player.

We believe that playing games in SL is about more than just the game. It is about socializing and enjoying the both the company and the skill, luck and fun of game play.

You can pick up a brief note card on scoring tips next to the table.

    Check out Pentadee here.

Petunia has a unique way of showing the details of one small item, usually presented in soft colors.

If you miss the Raglan Artwalk, Petunia also shows her artwork at Galleria Kakku and the Raglan Tree Gallery. For the show, you can view Petunia's artwork here.
  • Kath McGill Shows at Raglan Artwalk

Raglan Shire's annual Artwalk opened on Sunday and a few of our Isle of Wyrms citizens are among the many artists shown there.

Kath McGill has long been known in the Isle as a terrific and prolific artist. Kath states, "I think I've been in Artwalk now, well, since I became a merchant. and now, as the librarian, it's interesting to see what people like, and what they love. Sometimes its the color of the photo, sometimes its a memory that it evokes, sometimes its just- something to look at."

Kath is a multi-media artist, and uses photography, and paint and actually some string art in the paintings to make a combination of things. She plans to exhibit fifteen items in the show and sells it as modify/ copy.

You can view Kath's artwork in the show here.
